Our Crime Book Subscription is the perfect way to enjoy a book each month that has been chosen just for you, by the Willoughby Book Club team of book specialists.

Are you an armchair detective? Do you love a gripping mystery??  Simply tell us about your reading tastes, then sit back and let us do the rest. 

You might enjoy a cosy crime read, or prefer something a little more action-packed and thrilling. Leave it to us! After all, what could be nicer than a carefully chosen, beautifully wrapped book arriving each month just for you?

We're book lovers and readers, and sharing our love of books is our passion. We can't wait to share our book selections with you! We aim to delight you with every book, and support you on a journey of the imagination, introducing you to crime books and authors you may not have already encountered.

No two subscriptions are ever the same, because we know that all readers are unique.

 

What will my Crime Book Subscription include?

  • Free UK delivery, straight to their door
  • Hand-selected books for each recipient
  • Beautifully gift-wrapped books, making it an extra special parcel!
  • A Willoughby Book Club bookmark with each book
  • A beautiful reading notes notebook enclosed with their first book
  • A special message from you included in the first delivery (optional)
  • Your first crime books will be dispatched within five working days
  • Thereafter, books will be dispatched at the start of each month
  • You can select to receive a Gift Certificate to your email, or to the recipient’s, to gift to them (or print and pop in a card)

What we do

  • Our book specialists curate selections based on the recipient’s reading tastes, no two subscriptions are the same
  • All our packaging is fully recyclable, including the stickers
  • Our boxes are sustainably produced and sourced locally
  • We donate a brand-new book to Book Aid International for every subscription purchase.

Dads favourite gift

My father is so hard to buy for and when I gave him this subscription he’s asked for it to be renewed twice. He’s a huge reader and this way he gets a surprise book that lands on his doorstep. Brilliant idea really well executed.

Another Willoughby success!

I have been a delighted Willoughby Books customer for almost five years now. Over that time I have had my own subscription (since June 2019) and have bought subscriptions as gifts for my husband, cousin, friend, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and they have all loved their subscriptions too.
This most recent purchase was a renewal of a crime fiction subscription for my husband and so far he is really happy with the books he’s receiving and it feels like getting a present in the post every month!

Christmas Disappointment

Ordered the subscription as a Xmas present along with some chocolate. Asked for the book to come before Christmas, so the recipient could open the book and chocolate Christmas Day. Although I made it clear it was a present the book was sent out addressed to the recipient, so they got it before Xmas and the chocolate never arrived.
